VZBL respects your privacy and follows best practices while augmenting the data it processes to provide meaningful insights for better decision-making. Below, you'll find detailed explanations of what data is ingested and the meaning behind derived calculations.

Commit lead time

• commit date are used for commit dates (and not author date)
• If you rebased commits, then the lead time will be based on the new commit creation time, instead of the time the commits were authored
• Example:
  • You commit to a local branch day 1. Then submit a PR to Dev branch day 2. And finally, create a new PR for the dev branch and push to Prod day 3.
  • Each PR will have its own commit lead time
    • The PR to Dev: it merged on day 2, so the commit lead time is 1 day
    • The PR to Prod: it merged on day 3, so the commit lead time is 2 days

Google calendar

• Only events with visibility public, default, or unspecified are ingested
• Events marked private or confidential are not pulled

Focus Time (Meetings)

• All meetings with fewer than two attendees are ignored
• Before a meeting, 10 minutes to prep
• After a meeting, 25 minutes to focus
