VZBL respects your privacy and follows best practices while augmenting the data it processes to provide meaningful insights for better decision-making. Below, you'll find detailed explanations of what data is ingested and the meaning behind derived calculations.
Commit lead time
commit date
are used for commit dates (and not author date
)
- If you rebased commits, then the lead time will be based on the new commit creation time, instead of the time the commits were authored
- Example:
- You commit to a local branch day 1. Then submit a PR to Dev branch day 2. And finally, create a new PR for the dev branch and push to Prod day 3.
- Each PR will have its own commit lead time
- The PR to Dev: it merged on day 2, so the commit lead time is 1 day
- The PR to Prod: it merged on day 3, so the commit lead time is 2 days
Google calendar
- Only events with visibility
public
, default
, or unspecified are ingested
- Events marked
private
or confidential
are not pulled
Focus Time (Meetings)
- All meetings with fewer than two attendees are ignored
- Before a meeting, 10 minutes to prep
- After a meeting, 25 minutes to focus
